Lady Redmond, MBE officially opens The Axis Academy

On 23rd November 2022, two years after it first opened its doors, Lady Redmond MBE, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant officially opened The Axis Academy.

Having been delayed due to Covid, all the staff and pupils were extremely proud to welcome Lady Redmond, His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire into their fabulous classrooms and facilities. 

Following a tour of the building with Paul Eager, Headteacher and several of the senior leadership team, Lady Redmond then planted a tree with the pupils to mark the opening of the academy. Having chatted with several pupils, Lady Redmond then officially unveiled the academy plaque with the help of two Axis pupils.

Everyone at the Axis Academy and the YES Trust are extremely grateful to Lady Redmond for taking the time to come and mark such a momentous occasion for us all.
